Behind the Pines: My Journey to Starting Whispering Pines Story House
Every dream begins with a spark — often when we least expect it. For me, it started on quiet trails surrounded by whispering pines, riding alongside my childhood pony, CoCo. Those moments in nature gave me more than just peace and joy — they gave me stories. Stories that felt alive, as though the trees themselves were encouraging me to listen, imagine, and create.
One of those stories grew into a children’s book that’s very close to my heart. It’s still in the process of being published, but it represents the first seed planted in what would later become Whispering Pines Story House. While working on that book, I realized how much I loved the entire creative journey — from drafting words to dreaming up illustrations, from shaping ideas to imagining them on shelves in the hands of little readers.
To practice self-publishing, I began creating smaller projects — activity books filled with puzzles, word searches, and games. At first, it was simply a way to learn. But to my surprise, it was fun. Each project gave me confidence, each completed book felt like proof that dreams could move from imagination into reality.
That’s when a new idea took root: why not share this process with others? I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to hold a big idea in your heart but not know where to start. I wanted to create a space where writers, artists, and dreamers could find guidance, encouragement, and the tools to bring their projects to life. A place where creativity and practicality meet, where stories and ideas can take root and grow.
Whispering Pines Story House is that place. It’s my way of combining a love of nature, storytelling, and community into something bigger — a home for creative consulting, publishing support, and thoughtful design.
Starting this journey hasn’t always been easy, but it has been meaningful. And the best part? I get to walk alongside others as they chase their own ideas and transform them into something real.
So here I am — inviting you to step behind the pines with me. To believe in your story, your vision, your creativity. Because no matter how small it begins, every dream has the power to grow.
